On today’s episode, I am sharing how I went from being broke to making $8.5 million per year. I explain how I went from getting my first internship to completely broke to where I am today.

I explain how I felt this need to help others who didn’t have a lot to invest, how I thought I failed myself when I went broke, and how I picked myself back up (with the help of my family) and paid off my debt and built this eight figure company that I have today.

I am so thankful that I am able to make such a big impact on so many through my courses and I plan to help even more. If you are finding yourself in a dark valley and feeling like you can’t see your way out, keep going. Keep following your dreams. It is so worth it.

On my journey to helping others, I share my different ideas I had before I started my company. I really wanted to help the ones who needed help with investing. I ended up getting a booth at an event and started my financial coaching company. That was my first big investment for myself. I share more about that journey in this episode and how I ended up not charging enough and couldn’t pay the bills that were coming in. I felt awful. I felt like I failed. I ended up talking with my mom and she helped me. I went to my grandfather and we sat down and went through my mail with my debts one by one and made a strategy to start paying those off. It didn’t feel so big once I sat down and went through it all. I made that strategy to pay it off and budgeted based on what I was bringing in and how much I could afford to pay all of those debtors and I started calling them and paying debt off. 

Communication is key with finances and I ended up getting my car back and not losing my house. I ended up getting a consulting job and later ended up launching the Finances Demystified Bootcamp which was the first course that I created. I increased my prices because I realized I wasn’t charging enough. I launched another course and gave birth to my second daughter (all during a pandemic). The pandemic slowed things down including my speaking engagements and I realized that I wanted to start trading again. My husband and I started teaching a couple of family and friends about trading and they were getting it so we decided to launch a course. We scaled that course from $0 – $800,000 in 5 months – mostly from word of mouth. By the end of that year, I had the first million dollar month and then scaled it to the 8.5 million it’s at today. It was truly a blessing and took a lot of hard work to go from nothing to 8.5 million a year! There are now 4,400 students in that one course alone and another 14,000 in the other courses. 

I say all of this to say – keep going! There will be people who tell you to stop and not follow your dreams. Keep pushing forward. It’s worth it. I truly hope this story was motivational for you. If you are feeling like you are in a dark valley, keep pushing forward.
